FamilyKeeper Android

This section explains how to prevent your children from easily deleting the app from their device. You’ll also find a walkthrough explaining how to set this up.

CHILD’S DEVICE

  1. Launch FamilyKeeper Child app.
  2. Tap on the shield icon on the top right side of the screen. This will open a ‘Request Access’ window.
  3. Tap ‘Request Access’.
  4. This will send an alert to the parent’s device which contains a PinCode (also displayed on the child’s timeline on the parent app).
  5. Back on the ‘Request Access’ window, enter the PinCode and tap ok.
  6. On this screen please make sure you turn on ‘Uninstall Protection’. This will forward you to the Administrator Access setting screen.
  7. On Administrator Access setting screen, activate FamilyKeeper.

Turning this option on will aid in preventing your children from easily deleting this app.

*** If FamilyKeeper is already active, please deactivate and then reactivate it.

FamilyKeeper continuously improves and adjusts our premium services. That’s why it is crucial that you make sure to keep the app up-to-date!

Follow these steps to update to the latest version of FamilyKeeper (follow the same steps for both Parent & Child app).

  1. Go to Google Play Store.
  2. Search: FamilyKeeper.
  3. Tap the FamilyKeeper app.
  4. Tap ‘Update’.
  5. Once the update is complete, we recommended that you open up the app in order to restart it.

There are a few simple steps to take to ensure FamilyKeeper functions to its maximum capacity, and provide parents with the ability to track the whereabouts of their children through their phones.

CHILD’S DEVICE

  1. Turn on your child’s device.
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen, it will open your Notification Center in a drop-down panel.
  3. Look for the GPS/Location pin icon.
  4. Tap on it to turn it on.

Turning this option on allows parents to track the whereabouts of their children through their phones.

*** If GPS/Location is already active, please deactivate and then reactivate it.

For reactivation of Location Services please perform the following actions:

  1. Launch FamilyKeeper Child app.
  2. Tap on the Shield icon on the top right side of the screen. This will open a ‘Request Access’ window.
  3. Tap ‘Request Access’.
  4. This will send an alert to the parents device which contains a PinCode (also displayed on the child’s timeline on the Parent app).
  5. Back on the ‘Request Access’ window, enter the PinCode and tap ‘ok’.
  6. On this screen please make sure you turn on ‘Location’. This will open up a window.
  7. Tap ‘Allow always’.

There are few simple steps to take for FamilyKeeper to function to its maximum capacity, and provide parents with the ability to set time limits and block the use of specific apps.

  7. On the App Usage Access setting screen, activate FamilyKeeper.

Turning this option on will allow the parent to set time limits and block use of specific apps

There are few simple steps to take for FamilyKeeper to function to its maximum capacity, and provide parents with relevant real-time alerts about WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Snapchat and Viber activity.

CHILDS DEVICE

  1. Launch FamilyKeeper Child app.
  2. Tap on the Shield icon on the top right side of the screen. This will open a ‘Request Access’ window.
  3. Tap ‘Request Access’.
  4. This will send an alert to the parents device which contains a PinCode (also displayed on the child’s timeline on the Parent app).
  5. Back on the ‘Request Access’ window, enter the PinCode and tap ‘ok’.
  6. On this screen please make sure you turn off and back on ‘Offensive Content’ and ‘Call & Messages apps’.

Turning these options off and back on will restart the FamilyKeeper foul language & inappropriate activity detection algorithms.

Restarting ‘Offensive Content’:

  1. Tap on ‘Offensive Content’. This will forward you to the Accessibility setting screen.
  2. On Accessibility setting screen, activate FamilyKeeper.

** If you do not see FamilyKeeper, look for ‘Installed services/apps’ and activate it there.

*** If FamilyKeeper is already active, please deactivate it and then reactivate it.

Restarting ‘Call & Messages apps’:

  1. Tap on ‘Call & Messages apps’. This will forward you to the Notification Access setting screen.
  2. On Accessibility setting screen, activate FamilyKeeper.

1. Open the Google Play Store app and search for ‘FamilyKeeper Parent’.

2. Tap on the install button to begin download. Once installed, launch the FamilyKeeper Parent app.

3. Make sure you agree to our terms of use and privacy policy. 

4. Tap ‘Sign Up’.

5. Verify your phone number.

6. Enter your name, a valid email address and set your login password.

*** Remember your password, you will need it to pair your child’s device. ***

Parent sign up complete!

Child App:

 1. Open the Google Play Store app and search for ‘FamilyKeeper Child’.

2. Tap on the install button to begin download. Once installed, launch the FamilyKeeper Child app. 

3. Make sure you agree to our terms of use and privacy policy. 

4. Enter Parent phone number and password. 

*** Phone Number and Password are always available on the FamilyKeeper Parent app. Simply launch the app and tap “Add child” on the main screen. ***

5. Enter your child’s information..

6. Allow all requested permissions

FamilyKeeper automatically keeps you signed in, though you have the ability to turn that off in the FamilyKeeper Parent app settings screen.

If you are attempting to sign in and have forgotten your password, please follow these steps:

  1. Launch FamilyKeeper Parent app.
  2. Tap ‘Log In’.
  3. Tap the ‘forgot password’ button.
  4. Verify your phone number.
  5. Create & confirm your new password.

No. FamilyKeeper allows one parent to pair up to four children.

All personal and sensitive data collected from the child is encrypted End-to-End and remains anonymized at all times.

FamilyKeeper iOS

Parent App:

2. Download and once installed, launch the FamilyKeeper Parent app.

3. Make sure you agree to our terms of use and privacy policy.
